Little Twinkle Handmade New Baby card created by UK Stampin' Up Demonstrator Sarah Phelan for Sarah's Stampin' Retreat using the Little Twinkle stamp set from Stampin' Up

Good Morning Crafters!! I hope you’re having a lovely start to your weekend. We’re going to take our little one swimming this morning – he loves the water!! I have quite a few friends who are pregnant at the moment so I’m making sure to get plenty of cards ready for when they arrive. The one that I’m sharing today is a simple one using the gorgeous Little Twinkle stamp set. Even the patterned background paper is stamped with this set so it would be very easy to change up the colours to ones you know the recipients would love!!

What’s your favourite set for New Baby cards?

Tutorial – Little Twinkle Handmade New Baby Card

To create your card base, score and fold a 10″ x 5″ piece of Balmy Blue cardstock in half. Then, cut two pieces of Whisper White cardstock to 4 3/4″ square. Take the small stamp with stars and dots on it and stamp it all the way around the edge of one of the pieces of cardstock in Balmy Blue ink, creating a thick border with only about 2″ square of white space in the middle, then, with the same stamp just stamp two of the corners of the other piece.

Glue the piece of cardstock with the full border to the outside of your card, and the one where you just stamped the corners to the inside.

Cut a 2 1/2″ square of Whisper White cardstock, and a 2 3/4″ piece of Balmy Blue. Stamp the starry heart from your Little Twinkle stamp set into the centre of your Whisper White square in Balmy Blue ink, then add it to your Balmy Blue piece to create your topper. Add this to the centre of your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and complete it by adding a few small Rhinestone Basic Jewels over a couple of the stars.

To complete your card, stamp the star sentiment in Balmy Blue onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut it out, leaving a small white border around the star, then add it to your card using Stampin’ Domensionals.
