Cherish The Season Handmade Christmas Card

Hello Crafters! How are you today? This is my first play with these gorgeous Cherish the Season dies – how beautiful is that detail on them?! The holly and berries actually cut out of the bells, so you could put another colour behind them, but I decided I liked the look of the detail being carved into the bells so I left the gold die-cuts in.

Tutorial – Cherish the Season Handmade Christmas Card

To create your card base, score and fold an A5 (5 7/8″ x 8 1/4″) piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock in half. Cover the front with a piece of the green ‘Tis the Season patterned paper.

Add some Foam Adhesive sheet to the back of a piece of Gold Foil sheet, then cut a frame from it by spacing two of the stitched rectangle dies evenly apart and taping them down before passing them through your die-cutting machine. Cut your bells from the centre of your frame so that they also have foam adhesive on the back (this way the holly leaves and berries are unlikely to fall out as you cut them, but if they do then just pop them back in again).

Decide where you want to add your frame and bells, then glue some of the Poppy Parade ribbon from the All the Trimmings Ribbon combo pack so that it looks like it’s hanging from the frame to the bells.

Add the frame and the bells to your card, then tie a bow for each of the bells from the ribbon and add it on with a glue dot.

For the sentiment, heat emboss it in gold embossing powder on a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock [not sure how to heat emboss? You can see our video tutorial HERE], then back it with a piece of gold foil sheet and glue it to the bottom of your frame.
