Good Morning Crafters!! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! Do you go through colour phases depending on your mood or the time of year? I’m going through a little bit of a pastel phase at the moment – I don’t know whether it’s because we’re finally in spring??!! Today’s card combines Gray Granite and the beautiful Soft Seafoam with just a touch of petal pink (and of course the lovely Time for Tea stamp set!!)
Tutorial – Time for Tea Handmade Card
To start your card, create a 5″ x 5″ card blank by scoring and folding a 5″ x 10″ piece of Gray Granite Cardstock in half.
Cut a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock to 4 3/4″ square and stamp it all over with the outline leaf image in Gray Granite ink.
Next, Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock out with the largest stitched square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and cut a piece of Gray Granite cardstock 1/4″ larger than this. Stamp the cup image from the Time for Tea stamp set on your Whisper White square, then stamp your “You Fill my Cup with Happiness” sentiment above it in Gray Granite ink.
Colour your cup with the Dark and Light Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. Then, stamp 3 flower outlines onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Colour them with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and cut them out using the coordinating die.
To complete your card, layer up your squares of cardstock, using Stampin’ Dimensionals under the small piece of Gray Granite to raise your topper up a little, then add your flowers to complete your card front.
To make your card look even more professional, why not add a 4 3/4″ square piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of your card and stamp the corners with your leaf outline image? This will create a lovely area for you to write your greeting.
