Hello lovely Crafters! How are you? Today I’m going to showcase our lovely new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends. In case you’re not familiar with Stampin’ Blends, they are Stampin’ Up’s range of alcohol markers. Each pen comes with a chisel nib and a brush nib and they are lovely to use, with a nice flow of ink. The reason I’m so excited about this set of natural tones is that it makes it easier to create a full range of skin colours, and also to find the right shades for a variety of animals, trees, houses, etc.
I’ve created a colour chart for the blends which I’ve popped a picture of below so that you can see the range of shades included.
I wanted to showcase the blends by creating a card -- I used a mixture of shades to create the girl’s skin on the image from the Catching Butterflies stamp set. Both the Catching Butterflies Stamp Set, and the Daffodil Afternoon paper that I used in the background on this card, are Sale-a-Bration items. This means that until the end of February you can choose them as a free gift with every £45 you spend. So why not pop the set of Blends in your basket, add a tube of glue (because we can always use that!) and get one of these fabulous gifts completely free (or even both of them with a £90 spend if you have other things on your shopping list!).
