Ooooohhh, I LOVE pretty papers, and the Affectionately Yours DSP from Stampin’ Up is full of beautiful florals! As it’s retiring at the end of May it’s also at a great price – now only £8.23 and it’s a speciality DSP pack too, so you get two lovely foiled sheets included!
Today I decided to use a sketch which I used a couple of weeks ago for a Cupcakes and Carousels card, but the same sketch has a completely different look when it’s used with these beautiful florals. It’s from Scrapbook.com– simple but effective.
The Card Base is just an A5 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock scored in half and folded. Cut a piece of Affectionately Yours DSP to 1/4″ smaller than your card front each way. The sentiment on this card is taken from the Butterfly Basics stamp set. If you follow my blog you will know that I use this sentiment A LOT – I love the font on it. Cut a strip of 5 1/2″ x 1″ Crumb Cake Cardstock and shape the end with the triple banner punch, then stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink and emboss with Copper Embossing Powder.
For the die cut toppers, cut a square from Crumb Cake Cardstock with the second biggest Stitched Square Framelit Die. Add to this a leaf cut with the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies from Mint Macaroon cardstock. Cut the largest Botanical Builder flower from Watermelon Wonder Cardstock and lift up the outer edges to get some dimension. Finally, cut a flower centre from Copper Foil Sheet and layer everything up to finish your card.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial today. If you want to purchase any of the products used, please shop by clicking on the product pictures in the shopping list below.
Thanks
