Hello Crafters! How are you? I have a pretty window wreath card to share with you today! I created this card for my Altenew Educator course for the class Transcending Tattoo Techniques (which you can find HERE if you’re interested). The tutor teaches some really interesting techniques based on tattoo design and makes cards based on those techniques. I decided to use an element from the class where he uses black for the most detailed layer on his layering stamps to add shading. I did this for the leaves on my wreath. I’ve never done this before, I’ve always used darker shades within the same colour family and I like the effect.
The other reason I created this card in the way that I did was that I got the Altenew Stampwheel for my birthday! I put it on my wishlist as soon as I saw it when I saw videos from Creativation last year, and was so pleased it was released near my birthday so I could get it as soon as it was released!! So I used it for the first time in this video and I LOVED it, I can’t wait to play with it again! It’s perfect for making wreaths like these, and made lining up the detail shading stamps with the outlines a piece of cake. It was sooo quick and simple! I don’t think I’d have attempted that many layered leaves without it!
You can check out the video tutorial for this card below, or scroll further if you want to see the supply list.
