I love using sketches to help me create cards! I think they do the hard bit for you, leaving you to decide on the fun stuff like colours, embellishments, etc. And so, Sketch Sunday was born! Every Sunday I will share a sketch I’ve found, and the card that I’ve used it to create. I hope it will inspire you to do the same, and I would love it if you would share any cards you’ve made using sketches on my facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/sarahsstampinretreat.
So let’s get started! I found today’s sketch on Pinterest, and it’s from Stamplorations (http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/bi-weekly-sketch-challenge-4.html)
I used this sketch, along with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) and our Stitched Framelets dies to create this super simple but super stylish card! The little embellishments are actually just pieces that I cut out of one of the sheets of DPS and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals! The greeting comes from the Merriest Wishes Stamp Set, stamped on a banner made with the Banner Punch!
If you fancy using sketches to create more cards, keep an eye on my blog each Sunday, and check out my Card Sketches/Templates Board on Pinterest at https://uk.pinterest.com/sarahsstampinre/card-sketchestemplates/
