Hello Crafters! How are you? I’m slowly working through the modules for level 2 of my Altenew ACEP program and was inspired by the Beyond Basic Backgrounds class (you can find it HERE) to create this card. This particular technique isn’t in the class, but it reminded me that I’ve been meaning to try creating an alcohol ink background with Yupo paper for AGES, and so I did it! And I’m sooo pleased with the results. It was super simple to do, and really makes a great statement background for my card, certainly “beyond basic”!
I definitely want to play more with this technique -- the effects that are created when you add the different colours, and by playing with the amount of alcohol you add are so much fun, and so I want to play with different colours and different ways of moving the inks around.
